Applications
This is a new type of bifunctional agent with isocyanato group and trimethoxysilyl group, can be easily hydrolyzed and crosslink. The dual nature allows FC-24 bind chemically both inorganic materials(glass, sand and fillers) and organic polymers(thermo-sets, thermo-plastics). By adding it into rubber, the mechanical properties of the vulcanizates, in particular the elongation properties and the abration resistance, are improved without the difference in rebound resilience. Also can be used in adhesives and polyurethane sealant and coating application in order to improve self cross-linking, moisture curable and excellent adhesion to inorganic materials.
